I think the upgrade to a newer version of cindy will most likely happen with the next release. Do you use cindy? Was thinking about looking at MINA, but i would first like to compare the two. Any ideas/opinions?

I had actually planned on waiting until cindy 3 got out of beta status. =) (since 2 was the last non-beta release, stuck with it) Wildfire switched to MINA btw and has had a lot of luck with it. I'm pretty neutral about the whole thing so psy, if you'd like to investigate switching to something else, I'm all for it. Roger told me he's still interested in working on cindy as well.
I don't currently have any plans for the next release but psy here has come on board to help out so development should get a good boost here! =D

I am currently using MINA for a simple xmpp lib i am creating at work now. It will be used to test the servers capacity load. Have never used MINA before and i must say it is very easy to use. For the performance fact i will know that when i am done with the project.

The current jml library seems to be using old cindy libraries (2.4.4). When do you plan to upgrade to the latest cindy (3.01) ???
Thanks in advance,
Satheesh

Yes, I use cindy and it seems to be pretty nice and simple. Have nt used MINA at all. When are you planning for the next release of jml ?
