We are thinking about to use java Msn Messenger library (JML) in our project. In javadoc of JML is saying that JML is a java Msn Messenger library that supports MSNP8-MSNP12. Will JML support newer version of MSNP ? Is there an ongoing work to be update with MSN's protocols ?
IN MSNP wiki in technical detail part said that : "Whenever a major change is made to the protocol, such as a new command or syntax changes, the version number is incremented by one in the format of MSNP#. During October 2003, Microsoft started blocking access to .NET Messenger Service using versions below MSNP8.
Starting on 2007-09-11, Microsoft forces most current users of MSN Messenger to upgrade to Windows Live Messenger 8.1 due to security considerations. Noticing that Microsoft may end support for the older versions of MSNP in the near future, open source implementations of the protocol (mostly based on MSNP8; citation needed) now have to consider changing to MSNP13-15. This will require lots of work but will also bring many new features of Windows Live Messenger to the open source clients."

actually currently the library supports msnp15 and there is ongoing work (a branch) for msnp18, but there is no due date and is moved forward when time permits for the developers.

I am trying to make a MSN-Bot with will interact with MSNP19. And i am willing to use this library. Doe's the current version of JML interact with MSNP19. If not is there any plan to make it contemptible with MSNP19 ?
