If i'm not wrong, someone (i think Tigert, from Gimp) recently blogged about what he thought about
icons in those buttons (he thinks it's a mistake), and he posted some trick you could use to
disable stock buttons in all Gtk apps. But i don't think there's an easy way to disable only in
your app, unless you do something like what Andrew said.
