I'm running it on fedora since 2 years, there are fedora2 libgtk-java
rpm packages avilable as well as semi-official fedora3 java-gnome rpms,
everything is linked ion the site. Fedora4 will ship with java-gnome.
...maybe you are not the first to try it on fedora ;)
