  The java-gnome project is very much in need of help itself at the
moment. We're very stretched trying to keep up with gnome release.

Implementing d-bus in java seems very difficult - I must ask why you
think it is worth the effort. JNI wrappers would be much easier. Is
there really a great demand for d-bus on platforms where it doesn't
already exist?
Also, would your implementation be able to interact with the current c
implementation (sorry, I don't know the details of d-bus)?
