I think he was meaning gnome-2.5.x. 
Those offending files were removed from the 0.8 branch in cvs by me some
time ago, so together with some gconf fixes, that branch should be ready
for an 0.8.3 release.
Jeff, are we going to release it _before_ api freeze?
