We seem to be on track for December 22nd anyway (or earlier - I'm going away on 21st). All we really need is a few more reports that those 0.8.2rc1 tarballs are working ok. I'd like to release 0.8.2 tomorrow, if everyone agrees, and create the 0.8 branch in cvs so we can concentrate on updating to gnome2.5 in cvs HEAD. One other thing which would be nice for 22nd (but not essential, IMHO, would be to get the bindings to compile with gnome 2.5.0 (probably just needs (re)moval of a few gnomui widgets). Unfortunately I had an accident with my garnome installation, so I'm having to recompile everything before starting on this. -- .''`.
