That was one thing that came into my mind too. It is the main windows app thats missing from linux (although some would say it encourages bad practice, so shouldn't be ported). I think this could be put in the same category as apps such as those to control supermarkets - essential for firms who use them, but useless for most ppl, including open source hackers who don't make a living out of it. But then they have no incentive to use java-gnome :( As for what needs to be done to make java-gnome a killer app, I'd suggest just keep going how we are - fixing bugs, improving the API and implementing other gnome features.
