I *think* that you are supposed to use a string, containing the filename
of the image.

Unfortunately, I haven't tested all features of the tree widgets in
great detail, so cannot give exact details. As previously said, this is
work in progress, so should improve with time. If you have any specific
suggestions for how we can make improvements, please give them.
