Bastien,

Are you using the code from CVS or the downloaded code from 
the website. I would recommend using the code from CVS. There
have been numerous bug fixes since the last release. If you don't 
have access to CVS then make sure you remove the config.cache
file and then run configure again. It should find the correct javac. 
I haven't heard of the problem you are having with
callback_dispatcher. After you try getting the latest code please 
let me know if you are still having this problem. I would also
be interested in which JDK and which c compiler and version 
you are using.

I just wanted to try out Gnome-Java. After a bit of hacking to get the
Makefiles to point to the right javac (they're insisting that my javac
binary be in /usr/bin/javac or something like that), I hit the wall when

I'm using Sun's JDK Version 1.3.0 FCS for Linux, on a Debian/x86
unstable system.

Any ideas ?
