I don't think this is essential for the api freeze, but certainly high
priority. I really don't know enough about it and don't have time at the
moment though.

Unfortunately I'm struggling to get the tree widgets sorted. I'm hoping
to have api designed by the api freeze, but doubt that much jni code
will be written - perhaps not even for 2.6.0

I'd say include it if the API is unlikely to change. It's a long time
before the next API freeze.
