Hello!
  I've finally managed to fix the tree view / glib.Value problems. The
changes will be commit'ed in a moment and then I'll finally start work
on the rest of the tree functionality.=20

Jeff:
  Are you getting anywhere with the focus event problems? It would be
really useful if you could either fix them or temporarily disable that
part of the code, so that we can run test apps without crashes on
startup.
