I've done preliminary coverage of Pango's Font object. This has a describe() method which allows you to find out information about what font was actually loaded. You get a Font from Context's loadFont(). Thanks to Behdad for his guidance on this one. I did a test, ValidatePangoFont, but it's not good enough. I'm not sure how to articulate a test case for this that doesn't depend on things like the user's desktop font selections and what fonts are installed on the system. Maybe someone could have a try & a think about this.
