I've had problems this week too.

Specifically, when "luke.eagle.y.se" was the selection from the lookup
to the irc.gimp.net DNS round-robin, it didn't work. The other two,
dupe.XCF.Berkeley.EDU and kennedy.acc.umu.se seem ok.

[this, of course, has ever been the problem with trying to use DNS
round-robin as a high-availability solution. You're screwed if one of
the nodes in the group is down]

They may have fixed it by the time you read this.
