No problem. I wasn't being sarcastic in my question; it's just that
when I've written toolkit mapping libraries I started from the
equivalent of widget and container and worked downward, so I thought
there might be a good reason for skipping GtkContainer.
If I have time over the holidays (read: if my family is driving me crazy
and I need to escape into my computer), would anyone mind my attempting
to implement container events? I also don't mind waiting, as I don't
need them for any of the demos I'm converting.
