We're in the middle of a major overhaul, and so "make install" doesn't
work yet.
For now, add the jar files in the lib/ directory to your classpath and
add the lib directory to LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable. Then you
should be able to compile and run many of the example files (but many
still need to be converted).
