I use Sun JDK 1.3 on Red Hat 7.0. I use jikes whenever i can for the
compile phase because it is so fast.
Headers
-------
$JAVA_HOME/include
$JAVA_HOME/include/linux
Classes
-------
$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/rt.jar
There are also i18n.jar, javaplugin.jar, javaplugin_l10n.jar, and
sunrsasign.jar in the same directory, but i'm not sure whether these are
needed. I put them in my $CLASSPATH at the end just in case.

I'd really like to see jikes override javac by default in the configure
script, or at least an option to allow it to do so. I'd also be happy
to use Kaffe as my default environment, as it's provided with Red Hat,
but since the FAQ said it didn't work, i downloaded Sun's version.
