Java-Gnome is quite reliable and getting better all the time. We are bound to
the gnome bindings release rules. This means that we will not break API until
gnome 3.0. Therefore, any applications you write now will work with any newer
2.x release of java-gnome. The linking problems will hopefully go away as more
distributions accept java-gnome as a default package.
