I suggest to wait upcoming java-gnome releases:
there should be a 0.8.2 tarball released today, then the 0.9 version
will be released on 22nd of December (maybe even before). Since the
build system has been (quite largely) modified I think it's better if
you wait for the new tarballs or you can download the current source
from cvs with the command:
cvs -z9 -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/java-gnome co java-gnome
