This release series, collectively called java-gnome 2.16.0, consists of
updates to all the libraries in the java-gnome family.
glib-java 0.4.0 *
cairo-java 1.0.6 *
libgtk-java 2.10.0 *
libgnome-java 2.12.6 *
libglade-java 2.12.7 *
libgconf-java 2.12.5 * and
libvte-java 0.12.2 *
One notable feature of this release is that all the org.gnu.glib code
common to all the bindings is now actually in glib-java where it
belongs. Note that glib-java and libgtk-java have both moved up a minor
version reflecting this migration.
The other notable contribution was a large set of patches from John Rice
of Sun Microsystems fixing up the autotools infrastructure so that
java-gnome will build and install on Open Solaris!
There are still a number of outstanding bugs that have been nagging
certain developers; expect to see a java-gnome 2.16.1 shortly if fixes
for those problems present themselves. Likewise, libeds-java still needs
to be caught up; we'll release 0.6.0 of that when Sean has time.
