Yes, i've had this same problem on my stable gentoo box. My arch-masked
("~x86") gentoo machine did not have this problem. And like some of the
other problems i've had, i couldn't figure out a "proper" solution.
If i remember correctly, this is what was happening: the "api" directory
was getting deleted and then rebuilt. however, the "resources"
directory was not getting rebuilt and probably shouldn't have been
deleted in the first place because there was some image file in there.
i tried serveral things, but what i think worked was that i modified the
Makefiles, commenting the removal of the api directory in the install
section. i did this during the emerge, while the compilation was
taking place and after the configuration step.
