What do you mean? For clarity I'll state the things I understood so far :) translate FAQ.sgml and GNOME-tutorial.sgml, don't worry about the html it= =20 is generated from the sgml's. This would take care of the FAQ and the tutorial with the Java examples that can be accessed from the website. Things I don't know so far: how to translate the website itself? start from the html or are there als= o sgml documents from which the website itself is generated? Do you know about cvs? If so, please checkout the java-gnome-web module - this contains the html. It is html, but not the html that you see when you go to the website. I also update the information about roadmap, news, screenshots,... but I think this work should be done by other person because I don't know about details of gnome bindings release, new schedule, stable vs development releases. Well. I create the html from xml files. Each xml file contains one section of the website translated into various languages. Throught an ant script and XSLT I transform these xml files into html files. Nicolas, I am going to send you the xml source files. Send me the translated files and I will update the website. Maybe this files should be in the cvs repository. Now, In the cvs repository is the old version of the web, could somebody delete the java-gnome-web and java-gnome-site directories in the cvs repository?? |

Hi, Sorry for not responding to the website for a long time - we have been very busy preparing the code for the gnome bindings release. It is clear that we need to keep the website more updated. Your work on the website has been absolutely fantastic - it looks really great and professional. I was hoping that perhaps you would consider staying on as webmaster. Since you might not follow java-gnome development as closely as us, I will send you detailed information about what updates need to be made each time. In addition to updating the site, could you possibly coordinate the translations too? we have quite a few people writing translations at the moment. One suggestion was to have a "team" page on the website which gives details of everyone in the java-gnome team. This could also be used to keep track of the status of the translations.
