There are a lot of things you can translate, but maybe the most useful might be translating the java-gnome tutorial. You could also translate the website. Anyone has any other thought? The website already has spanish translations - it would be a good idea to talk to the person who did that to find out how it's done. We have a few changes to make to the website at the moment though - details of gnome bindings release, new schedule, stable vs development releases. Do we have somebody who volunteered to keep the website maintained? or do we need new help? -- .''`. Mark Howard : :' : `. `' http://www.tildemh.com `- mh...@de... | mh...@ti... | mh...@ca... |

Yes, definately: the first thing I've thought, after reading your long mail about j-g future, was that we have to put part of it on the web site especially "we need help" and "focus shift" parts. We should also file a job request on Sf (or whatever is called) if it's not done already. > Do we have somebody who volunteered to keep the website maintained? or > do we need new help? I know of Alberto Gimeno: recently I've sended a bunch of screenshots to him who's claiming to be the site maintainer. (I think he's the translator for spanish too.) Nico, you can send every question you may have to the list, since Alberto will receive them ;) -- Luca De Rugeriis <pie...@li...> |

I have translated the web into Spanish and I am the web desinger. I also update the information about roadmap, news, screenshots,... but I think this work should be done by other person because I don't know about details of gnome bindings release, new schedule, stable vs development releases. Well. I create the html from xml files. Each xml file contains one section of the website translated into various languages. Throught an ant script and XSLT I transform these xml files into html files. Nicolas, I am going to send you the xml source files. Send me the translated files and I will update the website. Maybe this files should be in the cvs repository. Now, In the cvs repository is the old version of the web, could somebody delete the java-gnome-web and java-gnome-site directories in the cvs repository?? |
