I applied the patch to cvs.  Let's have as many people as possible
test this update prior to the release at the end of the week and
post your results to this list.  I believe having gcj compilation
working is very important.

Ok, the configure stage recognizes gcc >= 3.2 now, but unfortunately the
the make process aborts with the following messages:

gcj: using both @FILE with multiple files not implemented
make[1]: *** [native-gtk] Error 1

(the Makefile in question is the src/Makefile)

I haven't had the time for working out that, and since I'm not
absolutely a gcc expert, it would be very nice if someone has any clue
on how to resolve this issue.

One more problem I ommited in my mail, would have gotten too long. The =20
problem is, taht gcj is invoked with "@GCJ_FLAGS@" or similar, but it =20
never gets substituted. You'll see that in the tewrminal right before =20
the error. The definition of this variable seems to be broken, but =20
simply removing it from the appropriate two commands in the Makefile =20
will solve this temporarily.

But hey, how could you claim it's working fine for you? ;o)

Well, you was right :)
It works until you choose to compile with gcj...
This issue is fixed with the last patches I've committed to the list,
it should compile and install fine now.
