I have gnome 2 up and running, but the java-gnome configure script
from cvs cant find gtk+ 2.0. Could it have something to do with
installing gnome 2 through red-carpet, rather than building it from
tars?
This is the output from ./configure:
[benny@localhost java-gnome]$ ./configure --libdir=3D/home/benny/gcc/lib
--with-gcj-compile --with-gcj-prefix=3D/home/benny/gcc
loading cache ./config.cache

Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtk+-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gtk+-2.0' found
configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 >=3D 2.0) not met;
consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your
libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.
note: the file gtk+-2.0.pc is no where on my system.
