-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Morning Stephan. Yes, Jaune can generate code for the Z80 but unfortunatly you'll need more than that to get the code running on the IC35. The problem is integrating the code generated by Jaune with the rest of the system such as matching up the native call code, hooking into the standard libraries, hooking into the C compiler's linker, and handling the startup. If you're interested I can give you a helping hand, but it requires a decent knowledge of assembler and the C compiler. - -- Michael On 4 Jun 2002, Stephan Hartmann wrote: > Hi Michael, > > i wrote an email to the jaune users list, but i want to be sure you read > the message, so i write directly to you. > > Here is what i wrote: > > there is a very simple handheld from Siemens, the IC35. Hi, there is a very simple handheld from Siemens, the IC35. It is based on a Z80. I wonder if Jaune would work for it. I am just a Java programmer and have no knowledge of emulators and stuff. Siemens already has stopped support and developement for the ic35, but the community is still big i think. Siemens has released a sdk for c for the ic35. but the least users are comfortable with c. So i think java would be a great improvement for it. Do you think, Jaune can compile for the IC35? I tried to upload the life.gb to the IC35 but it didn't work. Also i got errors compiling for target rrz80 which seems to be the better choice and also rrgb. the homepage of the ic35 is http://www.my-siemens.com/MySiemens/CDA/Index/0,2730,DE_en_0_product%253AMW%252FMC%252FMC%252FIC35%252Fdesc,FF.html I am looking forward to an answer.
