Bean Shell allows java source code to be executed directly (interpreted)
rather than having to be compiled to bite code before being executed.

It has been my experience that bean shell is considerably slower,
when used in JasperReports, than javac. But if time is not an issue
using BeanShell would certainly alleviate some environment setup
headaches associated with using javac.
