JasperReports JSF Plugin / News: Recent posts

A new beta release of this plugin has been released today. This new release has so many changes that it breaks compatibility with previous versions in advantage of a more robust code and more flexibility to the users. Release is still beta in order to obtain user feedback and start focusing on the final release soon.

After some time thinking about going forward towards the final release or include some more features to the plugin implementation the decision was taken: A last beta release.

Finally, support for JasperReports 3.5.x and some more features were added to the plugin in order to make it more "usable". This new release has also many bug fixes reported by early users.

Next release will be tagged as "release candidate" so, beyond today, no more features will be added to the source code, just bug fixes reported in the Bug Tracker.

A new beta for JaspeReports JSF has been released. This new release contains many bug fixes reported by users and an improved design and better documentation as well as giving the users the possibility of extending the core functionality

The plugin continues evolving trying to reach an stable api which also allows other developers to be extend.

This first beta release is not intended to run in all environments or application servers so user feedback will be required to finally offer a reliable product.

JasperReports JSF Plugin is a JSF Library that provides UI components to help exporting reports using JasperReports.

The new release of this plugin is available as early access (alpha) to any kind of user interested in testing it and improve it giving feedback.
