What does the JAP stand for?

I suspected it might be related to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_Anon_Proxy but there's no confirmation of this at all.

What edge does jap4proxy have over cpanelproxy?

    Thanks.

      Hi HM2K,

JAP stands for Just Another Proxy (so JAP4CPANEL becomes Just Another Proxy 4 CPANEL).

      What edge does JAP4CPANEL have?
      1) It is up-to-date with the latest CPANEL, WEBHOSTMANAGER and WEBMAIL.
      Bugs fixed for:
      - webmail redirection
      - webmail horde redirection
      - phpMyAdmin
      - ..
(if you find more, report them to me, and I will fix them)
      2) Support for non standard CPANEL, WEBHOSTMANAGER and WEBMAIL ports.
      3) Support for PHP4 and PHP5 (with optimizations).
      4) 100% compatible with the global PHP variables $_GET, $_POST, $_FILES and $_COOKIE (content can be a variable or an array of variables).
      5) Uses the CURL library, so no need to do all the low level socket programming ourselves. The CURL library has been tested by 1000s of people, and is therefor considered very stable and optimized.
      6) Object-Oriented (with all its advantages).
      7) JAP4CPANEL has the JAP4CPANEL EZ INSTALLER which lets you install JAP4CPANEL in 5 easy steps (see http://www.freecpanelproxy.com for demo).
The JAP4CPANEL EZ INSTALLER is also released under LGPL.
      8) Easy to install manually.
      9) Development continues (next release will add HTTPS support)

I hope this answers your questions :)
