Rob, after rm -fr the jamVm directory, extracting it again and running the configure below, finally compilation succeeded! I guess make clean was not cleaning my configure mess. For anybody that has the same problem while crosscompiling, i solved it by using both the --host and --build flag (thanks Robert!)
