Bonjour,
I boot from my USB key Jamulus OS rather than my PC's Windows10 , for a slightly better performance.
However, Jamulus OS does not allow any writes to be kept between rebooted sessions. Therefore Jamulus client cannot retain private servers addresses:ports and sessions settings; nor can I use other softwares (Notes, LibreOffice, etc.) to write information notes as they are not kept permanently. Even newly created users w/wo administrative rights are absent at the next session (boot).
I can understand that the USB installed image is 'protected' to minimize problems and support, but is there a way around ?
- installing from the boot options into another 'partition" on the same USB drive ?
- installing from the boot options into another 'partition" on another USB drive ?
I'd prefer to not install it on my main pc drives (HDs) and my coding and Unix days are way in the past :-|
Thanks for any information !

Ok, so while reinitialising my USB key drive with Rufus 3.13, I found the slider for "persistent partition" just underneath the "Boot Selection" . Set at its right extremity, it reserved the rest of the drive space for write/read usage.
Note : to identify the selection , i.e. the iso image , you must click the "SELECTION" text, not the arrow that is at the right side of its box ! That will bring about an explorer window to search and select the iso image file.
