Hi,
I just tried the hardware settings test in jamulus OS but when it comes to probing my Tascam US-800 it won't show any progress. After half an hour I canceled the test.
Sorry for the late answer, have you try to select in the hardware settings test only your TASCAM card in sound card selection rather than "all" (if it appears in the sound card list) ?

Laurent

Bonjour,
I had similar problems when running the "Hardware settings (For Jamulus)". It kept freezing when attempting to discover the audio part (I guess) of NVIDIA (which is a graphic card on my pc).
Right before clicking executing, it would a list of possible categories of devices to select ... something like :
"All"
"something ..."
"PCH something ..." ( that's where it would freeze )
"CODEC"
So I figured my outboard small mixer was under "CODEC" and when I selected this instead of "All", it ran through without error. ALSA was mostly all configured to interface as a driver to my Behringer Q802USB.
Hope this helps.

I read the interface can work with linux under certain conditions here:
https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7621
Can anyone explain whether it's possible to meet these consitions in order to use the tascam us-800 as an interface with jamulus?
I mainly tried jamulus OS because the interface causes blue screens on windows 10 every other minute or so.
PS: You're talking to windows noob here.
