I have made a persistent Juamulus USB stick (the label its boot partition is "JAMULUSOS V ") and I want to modify it such that it can be used right away by the chorus members without any avoidable question. The participating members have computers with German keyboards and they don't have much background in using computers.
I even want use an autostart script to qjackctl, then Jamulus (client) and even want to attach to the right server automatically.
Is that possible?
I tried some of the steps, but I can't even avoid the first step "language selection". The language selection before I come to the menu offering
Try Jamulus OS without installing
...
Test memory
apparently is not memorized in the persistent memory. Possibly this is because the real ubuntu 20.04 is not yet up at that stage but the selection is offered by GRUB or the like.
What changes would be necessary to start right to the desktop, assuming a German keyboard and a selection of the first given choice "Try Jamulus OS without installing".
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I think you cannot avoid language selection at startup without recreating a new iso for German purpose.
You can try to create a custom iso with cubic starting from jamulus OS V2 (you will need Ubuntu 20.04 or jamulus OS v2 Install ).
If you can't find how to setup the default language on a custom iso build with cubic please ask askubuntu.com for Ubuntu 20.04 it will work the same. And please report your documentation in this thread. I'm interested.

Laurent

I got the "Try Jamulus OS without installing" to default and that menu selection bypassed by editing txt.cfg and removing all the subsequent labels.
However, stripping all but "en" from langlist.cfg had no apparent effect to the language selection prompt. ("de" for German.)
Both files in the isolinux folder.
