Hi All!
Sorry for the lack of activity recently, I'm working on my Masters
Thesis right now which is eating up all my time. But just because I'm
busy doesn't mean you can't do some Jamos work...:)
I have updated the task list with tasks for Jamtris and the Pac man game.
If you want to work on any of these tasks, reply to the mailing list
and tell us what task you're working on, so we don't duplicate
efforts. Don't worry about the dates in the task list. They don't mean
anything. Task list is here:
http://sourceforge.net/pm/?group_id=3D116914
Here is the status for the Jamos projects:
Jamtris
I uploaded version 0.4 today which has sound effects, fullscreen
support on Nokia and MIDP2 phones and fixes various problems. From
this version on we're using J2MEPolish (http://j2mepolish.org) for the
build process. This makes it easy to create several seperate versions
of the application with only a single codebase. You don't have to use
it to be able to run Jamtris from source, but if you want to build all
different versions you need it.
There are currently two Jamtris tasks in the task list: Highscore list
(instead of just a single high score, should have top 10 or so) and
resuming of game, so you can exit the game and continue later. If
someone would like to add some graphical effects, for example when you
remove a line of blocks, that would be swell too.
PacMan
Babos has sent me a few patches to the current code which I have just
uploaded to CVS. I especially like the new animation when Pacman
dies...:) If you want to run Pacman you need to download all graphics
from here:
http://jamos.sf.net/pacman.res.tar.gz
I have added all tasks I think we need to sort before we can release a
first version of PacMan.
D20ME (the mazes of micromenace)
This is a possible future project. Dimitri Polym=E9ris will hopefully
join us soon and tell us more about it...:)
JamRPS
This is something I have been playing around with and might upload to CVS.
It's a Rock-Paper-Scissors game inspired by the game on the frontpage here:
http://www.eyezmaze.com/ (you need flash to play it)
Obviously, we should add multiplayer support in the future.
Reply with any thoughts and especially about what tasks you want to work on=
...
Cheers,
tomas
