I am trying to get some feedback on jamon. How do you use it? What do you track? What features do you like the most? Thanks for providing information that will help improve jamon!

Apart from server monitoring I'm using JAMon in a slightly unusual way to create SLA (Service Level Agreement) reports from HTTP access logs or JMeter reports

The key point is the ability to feed a monitor not only in real-time but also in batch processing and JAMon does all the heavy lifting aggregating the timing data

Thanks for letting me know Siegfried. A great use of JAMon. Knowing how people use it also helps me improve it.

    Have a great day!

I use Jamon mostly for SQL performance monitoring and it is my favorate module

I like it the most is Jamon working separately from the application, so it won't add extra performance burden to the application. Also SQL monitoring tool can show up which method called the sql so if I have multiple API calling same sql, jamon is very smart to telling me query by which method generate the performance lag.

Also Jamon is awesome on the compatibility so I can use Jamon to test on any dev or testing environment.

I think it would be the best to have 2 following features:

    1. have some kind of configuration to turn on/off the parameter value of SQL. I know expose sql parameter value can be a security concern, so I think it would be fare to have a checkbox to ask user to take the risk but have the flexibility to see the actual data. Then Jamon is not only an awesome monitoring tool but also a good debugging tool.
    2. Like mention from other ticket, which I know it could be difficult to implement, is to have a column to establish application id so it would be more clear when multiple application access Jamon at same time, then user can filter, sorting out information by different application

Will add to this thread when more stuff comes to mind :)

Thanks Steve for the great product!
