[Jamin] testing gtk3 branch

Hi,

Has anyone had time to do some more tests with the gtk3 branch?

Currently we have inconsistent results from the last round of UI updates
so it would be helpful to have a larger cross section.

FYI, I will start on the multi channel output window soon. If anyone has
additional thoughts on the functionality let me know.
