[jamdb-user] help

Hi, when i try to connect i get DB Error: connect failed 
error how can i correct this?
also when i run the jamdb-update -d i get 0 albums checked, detected 0 
albums, 0 sampler, 0 unknown it looks like it not picking up my mp3 dir
