Hallo Marc, mir ist gerade aufgefallen, dass das Datenbankscript Alben mit gleichem Namen, obgleich sie von unterschiedlichen Interpreten sind, unter der gleichen ID abspeichert: mysql> SELECT album, filename FROM songs WHERE album=138; album | filename --------+-------------------------------------------------------------- 138 | /data/Musik/vol1/Bangles/GreatestHits/01_HeroTakesAFall.mp3 . | . . | . 138 | /data/Musik/vol1/Blondie/GreatestHits/03_OneWayOrAnother.mp3 . | . .

You can change the filename that is being searched for using the HTPASSWD_FILE config option. Add users to the file with the htpasswd command. HTH -Marc -- BUGS My programs never have bugs. Hallo, since some days jamdb doesn t work as a long time before. The problem: I can't play mp3s an longer direct but the download-link (disc-symbol) works. Winamp shows me a message can't sync mp3. I ve no idea what is going wrong. Jamdb is runing on a suse 9.2 system. The songs are stored on another system (Gentoo) and the directory is mounted using shfs. I tried it with some lokal files (same result) Has anyone an idea. Is there perhaps an apache or php option that causes my problem? Thanks |

Hallo, is there a way to configure max. characters per line for the web-frontend. The problem: Some album-titles are very long so that I ve to scroll right to see the rest of the infomations (track titles). A workaround is to use a smaller font but perhaps there is another solution. -- |

Hi Marc, In Fact that MD5 don't worked for me I've find this in my Log: Undefined subroutine &main::get_file_md5sum called at /var/www/dbstuff/jamdb line 910 (#1) (F) The subroutine indicated hasn't been defined, or if it was, it has since been undefined. Uncaught exception from user code: Undefined subroutine &main::get_file_md5sum called at /var/www/dbstuff/jamdb line 910. main::do_check_md5sums() called at /var/www/dbstuff/jamdb line 1292 After this I've found the missing Lines in the CVS: ############################################################ # calculate a files md5sum # returns md5sum if activated in config or an empty string sub get_file_md5sum { my ($file) = shift; # file to calculate checksum from my $digest; # digest object my $md5sum = ""; # calculated md5sum if ($config{"SAVE_MD5SUM"} =~ /YES|Yes|yes/) { use Digest::MD5; # open file open(FILE, $file) or die "Couldn't read file $file"; # set file to binary binmode(FILE); # calculate md5sum $digest = Digest::MD5->new(); $digest->addfile(*FILE); $md5sum = $digest->hexdigest; } return $md5sum; } After inserting the md5sum works but now I have an other problem. How can I insert the MD5Sums from the files without deleting the hole Database? MFG Daniel Kröhl PS.: Sorry for my english. |

1) white screen after login Aktivate the debug-modes (jamdb.conf) and try it again. If db.php is missing check if the file exists and check in your php.ini the path ; UNIX: "/path1:/path2" ;include_path = ".:/php/includes" 2) xmms, winamp etc. are showing the filename but don t play the song. Check if a proxy-configuration is neccessary If apache is working using a non-standard-port like 8082 you ve to generate the filelist including the port 3) starting jamdb causes perl-errors (config not found) Try it again after changing in /etc/jambd or wherever the file is stored 4) some songs are displayed in the playlist but can t be played. Check if there are blanks in the path. 5) Double-Klick doesn t play a file or a an album. Under Linux(Konqueror).Try it with right mouse-cklick open with xmms -- |

JamDB 0.9.9 has been released! Amongst several fixes and some new config options this release has mainly changes under the hood. There is now only one configuration file for both: The command line tool and the webinterface. Configuration of jamdb should be much easier now. have Fun! -Marc |

The URL should then change (Session data will be added or removed...) Maybe you could try the cvs version? -Marc -- BUGS My programs never have bugs. They just develop random features. If you discover such a feature and you want it to be removed: please send an email to bug at links2linux.de |

I inserted error_reporting(E_ALL) before session_start() in index.php and when i opened the login page i got the follwing error: Notice: Use of undefined constant DBTYPE - assumed 'DBTYPE' in usr/local/apache/htdocs/jamdb/etc/jamdb.conf on line 94 So i edited the jamdb.conf file and in line 94 i changed the define(DBTYPE,"mysql"); to define("DBTYPE","mysql"); And it worked. Meaning that i opened the login page again and the Notice message didn't show up. Unfortunately as soon as i entered my credentials username and passwd in the login form and hit the login button the result was the same as before. The same old BLANK SCREEN. There is also a function called error_reporting(). You can use that in the code to set the desired level of error reporting. The DEBUG_MODE in JamDB sets this to E_ALL which should display any warnung and any error on your screen so this is a bit strange. Assume that the error happens before this is set in the code You might try the following: edit index.php and add a line before the "session_start();" like this: error_reporting(E_ALL); and try again to login. > > As i can get it until now i should only see errors in > the output of the > index.php page of jamdb. > > NOTE:Is there a way to set log_error and error_log > directives to log php errors into > the apache error log file. so i can see when an error > is happening and > what request caused it?
