To whom it may concern,
At LENA lab, we are trying to incorporate Pulse Shape Discrimination. As it stands, we've been 'forced' to use CODA to digitize the pulses sent via a Flash-ADC. Each pulse contains 1024 data points. Would it be possible for JAM to receive signals from a FADC, allow a subroutine (written in c) to analyze each pulse shape, and then histogram both the pre and post analysis spectra ?
Right now, our configuration sends pulse-data to CODA via a FADC. The pulse shape data is then read in through a c subroutine which sends each pulse through several shaping subroutines. After all analysis is performed, the pulses are integrated and binned. The binning is done in such a way to allow Jam to replay the spectra offline.
This is clearly a bit cumbersome and we would definitely appreciate Pulse Shape Analysis functionality for JAM.
Thanks,
