from Kim's msg to jake-list:
Someone asked yesterday about other Lexis-Nexis source lists (other than
Academic Universe). I went digging, and also found a page that produces Academic Universe source lists with ISSNs, which is something we've been lacking.
Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe
http://cisweb.lexis-nexis.com/marketsource/reports.htm
CIS Congerssional Universe (NOTE: I'm not sure this fits with jake, yet.
Most of the contents is government reports and indexes -- not journals, but FYI anyway)
http://www.lexis-nexis.com/cispubs/Catalog/universe/congressional%20universe/about/faq2.htm
CIS Statistical Universe fulltext coverage:
http://www.lexis-nexis.com/cispubs/Catalog/universe/statistical%20universe/fulltext/fulltext.htm
CIS History Universe - Access to Primary Sources (sub-section) [again,
these aren't really journals...]
http://www.lexis-nexis.com/cispubs/Catalog/universe/history%20universe/aps/aps_title_list/alltitles.htm
I'm still digging for the source lists for the classic L/N. Note, one
problem with LN/CIS is going to be the corporate structure relationships,
and the fact they market base editions with add on modules...
should i delete the data that\'s in there for lexis/nexis and replace it with this data
or just update?
Kim says to go ahead and wipe out the current academic universe. The provider on these is CIS...
