MS SQL Server connection problem??

    I can't connect to SQL Server, what should I do to make this work?

      Hi,

      what have you tried, and what happened?

      First of all you need to get the JDBC-driver for SQL Server.
      It's a file named "sqljdbc.jar". Download it from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/data/aa937724.aspx if you don't already have it.

      Then open the "Connect" dialog (File->Connect database). Click on "New" button and select "Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (Microsoft Driver)". Click on the disc-button on the right side and select the file "sqljdbc.jar". Edit the predefined DB-URL: replace <HOST>, <PORT> and <DB> with host name, port number and database name of your database. Enter user name and password.
