Do you mean that your username/password is failing, or that your client can't see the server at all? If your client can't see the server, then you could try to run the server on the usual port (is it 548?) and try to connect again or make sure you specify the port to OS-X when you try to connect (I think the syntax is something like afp://servername:portnumber/share ?). If the password is failing, check the logs (/var/log/secure and /var/log/messages). Perhaps you need to tweak the PAM config (I'm not sure exactly how Jaffer authenticates). Good luck!
