Jade Framework

JADE is a framework used for fast Web application programming. JADE is made up of PHP libraries and objects that allow corporations and government and paragovernment entities to quickly develop Web applications. One of the goals of JADE is to make it easier to implement applications by allowing developers to concentrate on the applications management rules. JADE can be used by all developers with conventional programming knowledge. Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, etc. is useful but not necessary when developing Web applications with JADE.
Project Objectives

* To develop a framework that helps users quickly develop applications in a Web environment.
* To include objects that allow users to manage simple forms, complicated forms (Master-Details) and their relationships, lists, search engines, etc.
* To free Web application developers from implementation hassles, such as HTML and JavaScript. JADE thus lets developers who have no training in HTML/JavaScript to program robust Web applications.
* To offer developers a complete toolkit that allows them to concentrate on the business rules.
* To develop a standard, compatible HTML code.
* To offer a series of functions that are common to most Web applications: menu management, content management, user and access rights management, user log-on management ...
* To offer a rigorous, constant interface.
* To completely separate all of the applications graphics aspects from its logical aspect.

Advantages of Such an Approach

* Developers can concentrate on the management rules of the application they are developing.
* The user interface is supported by JADE, allowing for a homogeneous interface.
* New Web browsers can be added and new skins without changing application codes.
* You can employ developers with no Web-development knowledge to ... develop Web applications.
* You can re-use trusted interfaces.

JADE was designed by a team of French-speaking developers. The project is being piloted by Les consultants INTERACTION. To see an example of a Web application that has been developed using this technology, visit http:\\demo.reserver.ca.
