Hey, Greetings from JabCon (https://jabcon.jabref.org/). We are working to get release 5.0.0 alpha ready. It would be nice if you tried out the latest build: https://builds.jabref.org/master/ Especially the UI was redesigned (again). > I had been using JabRef-3.8.2 on the old desktop and now use JabRef-4.3.1 on > the new desktop. I have questions about changes: In case your issues remain, it would be nice if you opened one at https://issues.jabref.org. This would help us getting the mass of open issues handled. > With multiple authors on a publication, I've always > specified authors as 'Lastname1, F.I. and Lastname2, F.I. and ...'. JabRef's > flag says this is not acceptable JabRef format. Why not, and what is? Maybe, you have to write "Lastname1, F. I."? > In the title field when uppercase letters begin words other than the first > one JabRef tells me that they're not written within braces. Do I need to > change all entries so that uppercase letters other than at the start of the > title are within curly braces? Depends on your usage of JabRef. When you use Bibtex with certain bibtex styles, the title automatically changes. Most users do not want that... > 3. Is there a changelog showing all changes in 4.3.1 from earlier versions, > specifically 3.8.2? The highlights are written down at http://blog.jabref.org/. I think, you search for https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/blob/v4.x/CHANGELOG.md. In addition to our new release, following things are fixed: https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md Cheers, Oliver |
