#779 choice between \cite{key} and \citep{key}

Next full release

i propose following:
instead of only providing the possibility of \cite{Bibkey} one can choose between cite, citep and citep!

as most people use just one of them, an entry in the preferences, something like... Preferred cite command... would be enough

    If you used "Push selection to X", then you could configure the cite command. I fully agree that this should more be a global setting.

  • Morten Omholt Alver

    The challenge with having a global setting is that not all "Push to ..." plugins can support the same selection. If I remember correctly, "Push to LyX" can only tell LyX to add a citation in the general sense, not the exact command (I may be wrong here), and the "Push to OpenOffice" supports two types of citations but doesn't deal with BibTeX commands.

  • Oscar Gustafsson

    In the current master it is implemented with only a single cite command preference.
