Hi there,

I use jabref on a daily basis. I keep all my entries in one single file. From time to time, I use the 'New subdatabase based on .aux file' feature, which works fine.
Along the same line, it would be nice to have the possibility just to select (instead of creating a new file) the entries contained in an aux file. One could then populate a subgroup with the selected entries for instance.

As I see it--although I have no idea how difficult this could be--, it could just be an option (Export/Select) after the entries are scanned.

By the way, JabRef is great! Definitely one of the first softwares I install when I get a new computer.

Cheers,

St.

I added this feature to the master branch. Should be available in JabRef 2.10.
