I'm a new JabRef user, and I congratulate the developers on an excellent
program!
I have successfully added additional columns to the Entry Table through
Options->Preferences->Entry Table Columns, but I can't figure out how to write
in them. Clicking on the cell in the table doesn't allow me to enter text.
I have added Fields to the entries with the same names as the new columns with
the hopes that JabRef would auto-update the new columns with the text in the
fields bearing the same name, but alas that did not work either.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

It will be nice if you identify yourself. About your first problem: you must
explore more your possibilities, JabRef principal panel is a graphical way to
see the database. To write into fields you have to double click on entry and a
window pop up, below the principal panel. Now you have a graphical form were
you can write whatever you need.

Thanks Jose!
I added the columns after adding the fields, and it appears to work now. You
are correct in that I can only add text to the fields, and not the column
entries themselves. I appreciate the feedback!

HI
I am new to Jabref I couldn't get your answer. I have to link my jabref database with excel or some other application to enter desired data in fields there?
