I use Mendeley for sorting my references, and I have Mendeley save a bibtex copy of each collection. JabRef 2.9.2 opens the bibtex files and the PDF links open ok while 2.10Beta does not open them at all thought the link in the field is the same. Any ideas on why this might be? If I create a database using Jabref 2.10Beta no problems - perhaps there is a database function that is different?

Could you provide an example link? Maybe we can track down the issue.
Maybe, we have to make a debug version outputting each step taken.
Please check your "Main file directory" setting at
Options>Preferences>External programs.
Is it a valid location?
Any ideas on why this might be?
Currently not. Here, JabRef works fine :)
Cheers,
Oliver

I filed a bug report on 2.10 not working on files I use just fine under 2.9.2.
