Sorry if this has been discussed to death, but it didn't turn up with the search terms I used. JabRef continually harasses me with a popup window that says "Old version detected!" "Installed version: v2.2.0.0". This is unacceptable in any case: what if for some reason someone wanted to us an old version of the program? But in my case, I am using the newest version, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and I still regularly get this popup, which distracts me from my work, even when I am not using JabRef.

this sounds really annoying, but I don't think it comes from JabRef. We
certainly don't have any mechanism for alerting about old versions, that
I'm aware of. If you're absolutely certain it comes from JabRef, perhaps
you have installed a plugin that may be causing these popups?

I'm not sure where it comes from. It comes up about once a day, so it isn't that annoying, but I would like to understand the cause. Here is a picture.
