While searching for an articel on IEEE Explore I get the following error:

IEEXplorer has changed the webinterface today. Maybe this is the cause. Would be nice if fixed...

This is due to the new changes in IEEE Explore. Guest user name and password are now required to access the citation.
Will this be fixed or is there any other possibility to provide username and password in JabRef?
This is strange, since i don't need to supply any user name or password when i use my web browser. The IEEE site recognises automatically that I'm accessing it from an authorised site. I wouldn't even know any user credentials. I hope a solution to this problem will be found soon.
probably you are using internet service at school
"probably you are using internet service at school"
It is not the search from IEEE Explore site but the searching from Jabref IEEE Explore fetcher. The fetcher is not working any more. This is due the new changes in the IEEE Explore site. Thus , the fetcher needs to be updated to keep up with the new changes. Hope some body will be kind to address this issue
The new security stuff is no problem. You can resive the bibtex data for an article wihtout any login data directly from
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/downloadCitations?recordIds=<recordIds>&fromPageName=&citations-format=citation-only&download-format=download-bibtex
Where <recordIds> is a comma (%2C) separated list of record ids of articles you are interested in.
But the IEEEXploreFetcher needs an reimplementation in in order to use this URL.
I am working on this issue. Hopefully the fix will come with the next version.
Hi Guys,
I have finished a revision with basic functionality and Morten will get it into SVN and next release.
It is not well tested yet; so please provide feedback if you encounter any problem.
Now I need to ask you for a favor. I need your input to further improve the IEEEXplore and ACM plugins.
Please email me (nextAaron@gmail) with your experience with these plugins, why you use them, how you use them, how do you like them, and what you want to see in the next release. It will be very interesting if you can include your institution and research interests.
If you want plugins for other services like Springer, please do state it in your email.
Thanks a lot.
Aaron Chen

I believe this bug is now fixed in the v2.6. Thanks!
I also support a Springer plugin, hopefully after they implement the bibtex export feature in their beta Springerlink!

I need to login to get to IEEE Citation. Security system never allowed me free access. - Sawny

Sawny ..
This has been resolved in v2.6. You need to upgrade if you are using an older version
